A Good Reason to Drive Slowly

>

The colors this autumn, are stunning. Our very own Mardi Gras.

I have never seen it this dramatic or dazzling before. Which may or may not be true, but either way, it makes you take notice.

So I’m driving my son Zach to swim lessons, the country road lined with shades of gold and orange and ruby and canary yellow and crimson.

“Dad,” Zach says. “Why are you driving soooo slow?”

“Just enjoying the trees son. They’re amazing today.”

“Really?” he’s not convinced. “I just thought it was because you got another ticket.”

(For the record: I’ve had conversations with officers of the law about my interpretation of the speed limit. Today, thankfully, I had a better reason to drive slowly.) So wherever you’re driving today, look out the window. You may be amazed.
