Step back from the baggage claim

>I travel a lot. I am writing this in the departure lounge at SeaTac Airport, on my way to Portugal. I will be in 5 different airports today. I don’t yet know if things will go according to my script. Chances are, they will not. So far so good. TSA didn’t confiscate my toothpaste. But I know my tendency to rush or fret. So I’m trying an experiment. I’m using some insights from a friend, Jason Barger, who wrote a book called Step Back from the Baggage Claim. It’s about Pausing, long enough to find kindness or generosity or caring, even in the places where we least expect them. Maybe it is about pausing long enough to be human. You can find Jason at stepbackfromthebaggageclaim or on YouTube at youtube.com/watch. (Maybe I can even take my own advice and not be undone by uncertainty — you never know, some of the very best stuff happens then – GentlePleaforChaos)
